It’s been a year of intense growth!

Hola! I will be turning 25 tomorrow and look what a year can do to you! It can teach you so many things at one go. I see people around me weighing the ups and downs of 2017! I rather see it as how you went through the situations, relationships, stress, happiness and everything that once troubled you! Think about it? Isn’t it funny or weird how we categorise a year based on our own perception? For me, when I say an intense growth, it really means turning 25! Moving on with life, being comfortable alone, going on a date with myself, loving God, praying for others and being grateful for this life. That’s how this age got me! That’s how I realised that it’s important to forgive and learn the lessons, wisely.

I remember all these years talking about philosophy and life, talking about introspection and love, talking about friends and family, everything that sounds ‘good’. Everything that’s right at one moment but immediately breaks down in the other. I am sorry 25, I have been busy not figuring out life and just embracing it, going with the flow and stop cribbing about it. Look life! What did this year do to me? Going to places that I’ve never been before, experiencing and accepting the bitter truths and white lies of life. Yet believing that this age is just a number that I’ve braced so beautifully.
Beauty of life

Change is a constant partner and so is life, coincidentally! One moment you think you’ve it all figured out and the next moment you practically have nothing to look for. I just want to shed some light on your thoughts. Taking things for granted. Life, my friend, isn’t that fair but you are strong and are full of compassion and always, end your day being grateful for the little things! It’s only when I detached myself from people, I learnt the beauty of this ‘One life’. I learnt that smile is contagious, I learnt those who don’t listen to the waves do not know the depth of the sea and the only landing after take-offs in real lives are the ones without dreams.

Keep chasing, you don’t have to figure it all today at 20, 30, 40 or 50! Like they say ‘Age, my dear is just a number’ to that I add on ‘Don’t forget to embrace it, gracefully!’

What Happens When You Know Yourself?

I know this topic just caught your attention because this is what all of you have been longing for for a very long time. Let's be clear, this blog is not here to convey or convince you to change yourself or build a perception about the people around you. I purely intend to put some light onto your thoughts and a very little understanding about the human mindset of piling up with the worries and blaming others in situations that is filled with void and stress. Not much of your time will be consumed to an in depth observation about yourself and the people around, who make you happy or sad or just all, together! Well, let me tell you it doesn't matter and it shouldn't on how you feel and who made you feel! Here lies the first truth, you 'decide' that people make you happy or sad purely based on your feelings.

Be Free. Be You
Think about it, you will realise that you give people the authority to make you feel optimistic or pessimistic about yourself. What happens when they don't treat you the way you urged? You feel ill, your body reacts in a harsher or subtler sensations. You're demented of your routines, you skip your meals, you simply are at a peak to burst out, why? Because someone just told you something which was unpleasant, which made you uneasy. I understand you just reacted to something that wasn't pleasant, you just did it. So what? you would ask me. I say it's okay, life is not the same and things change, blah...blah... blah... fair enough to calm you down and most of your closed ones do that right? Especially, when you are tumultuous.

After a month of Sundays, is your second truth. A truth that sows the seeds of unpleasant days and situations, in your close knit circle, you keep them updated and make them equally depressed about your life's dilemma. Hello, wake up! you literally added your sorrows to someone else's life. Your unhappiness has just found new land, sowing unpleasant seeds in their bliss, without you realising it.

The third and the most important truth is you depreciate yourself with the joy of this very beautiful world, which gave you so many things to be grateful for - you can breathe, you can walk, you have a family, you have a life!

In my life, I've also seen, few of those, who start finding 'fault in their stars' - maybe their horoscope says it's not the lucky colour neither their lucky number. You know what - just stop right there and right now! It's not going to save any of you in the long run. Look again, what are you doing to yourself? Reversing you to the truth number one - you are associating yourself and your happiness with the outer surroundings and situations rather than simply giving a thought about your life and your feelings. Believe me, it's solely yours.

Define your own life...
To conclude, my dear readers, this whole lot of ascendant read, there is just one simple thing that I've learnt and experienced is that you can never and you shouldn't associate yourself with 1. People 2. Situations 3. Aesthetic needs. They all change with time and so will you. Be happy being who you are at this very moment and enjoy the subtler things in life, enjoy the fresh air, enjoy embracing the green grass, enjoy eating your own meals, all by yourself. This is one of the key motivators to start your own happiness. This is that one purpose you can work on all your life! Cheers to a prosperous new life and Happy Diwali!

Thank you for Noticing this!

Leh, one of the most beautiful and heavenly places that one should visit atleast once in a lifetime. The beautiful and naturally blessed heaven on earth has the world's most dangerous roads, danger that leads to avalanche, glacier, land-slide and all the mountain-ache's that one can hear of. The Border Road Organisation (BRO) has come up with witty and tricky communication across these routes. The one that I've come across  - to describe I didn't miss out on any. As a writer, it fascinates me that how a simple message don't drink and drive can simply be turned into "After whisky, Driving risky". After research analysis I've come across a book launched on these sign boards. Can you believe? They're the talking point across the nation. So, next time you visit Ladakh... Don't miss out on these funny yet smart messages en route.

Some of my copy suggestions for BRO:

"Off the Rum, Enjoy the Fun"
"Green Green, is the new clean"
"Mountains are tough, you don't have to be"
"Make some noise" : HORN PLEASE
"Rough Road = Smooth Speed"

"Speed Chills? Life Kills!"

Every thought = Idea: Writing for the Writer’s sake

Every thought = Idea: Writing for the Writer’s sake

Writing for the Writer’s sake

Finally I got there! Yes, I did! How is the feeling when you achieve your first step of dreams? With mine, it’s the same. I started working as a Copywriter. And now I actually and really realise it, that one cannot come up with a line that is random or without relevancy to the briefs! Big-eye-opener! *previous lines can go die*. So justifying my headline just writing for the writer’s sake is a strict no-no! You have to apply all the filters to your brain and then come-up with that one thing - bang!

It’s not just about work or briefs, it’s much more towards our lives. Don’t you apply filters to reach your aims? Your aim might be as simple as finishing up a book today! What filters do you apply there? You might keep your phone aside, decide not to take a stroll, or chill-out with friends, etc. When it comes to the writer’s point it’s as equal to applying certain filters, the most important information first! And the least goes last!

Have you wondered why some people achieve things more clearly and some stay vague. Well, I am still figuring out. May be with my observation, one of the reasons lies in filtering out the priorities to do, to focus and rebuilding the horizon. It cannot be done today, tomorrow. It’s a long term task! A task that can be achieved with major dedication and some basing. It’s the injunction to the mind to deliver a set of do’s and don’ts. The power of filtering and not doing it for the sake. Just like writing for the writer’s sake. I am working on the same and will soon reach there. I hope you will filter out as well, to not do anything for a sake!

Till then, happy enjoying things for the sake ;)
